We had such a great experience with Servco Pools and Steve! Building a pool is a huge investment, and honestly, we were a little nervous about the process. Our property wasn’t the easiest to work with — we had a small path to the backyard and a pretty significant incline — but Steve was creative and found a way to make it all work.

From the beginning, it was obvious that Steve really knows pools and genuinely loves what he does. He was involved throughout the entire project, always willing to talk through questions or ideas, and he truly cared about getting everything right. If something didn’t meet his standards, he made sure it was fixed. He also went above and beyond more times than we can count.

He gave us great recommendations for other vendors, helped us stay within our budget, and we felt like we got a beautiful pool without feeling pressured to spend more than we wanted to.

And even now that the pool is finished, Steve is still available when we have a question. That has meant a lot to us.

Steve and Gladys run the best custom pool companies in Tallahassee.

Before choosing Servco, we spoke with five different pool companies. Every company we considered had excellent reviews, but Servco stood out because they had well over 100 reviews and still maintained a 5-star reputation. I intentionally saved my meeting with Steve for last, and that ended up being one of the best decisions we made.

From the first meeting, Steve’s personality, demeanor, passion, and knowledge immediately stood out. His staff was there with him, and it was obvious they cared about what they were building. Most importantly, Steve understood our vision. He could see what we were trying to accomplish and even came up with ideas that improved the design beyond what we originally had in mind.

The contract and financing process was extremely easy. Everything can be handled electronically through your phone or computer using Adobe Sign. I never had to make a trip to their office. Payment options were straightforward, and they also work with a financing company that was very easy and friendly to deal with.

Permitting can obviously depend on the county’s queue, but Servco handled everything and kept the process moving.

When it came time to lay out the pool, Steve and his team came out and physically mapped everything so we could visualize it in the yard. Funny enough, the outline looked much smaller on the ground than the finished pool actually looks. Once completed, it looked significantly larger and better than we imagined.

The construction process itself was impressive to watch. During excavation, they were careful around our property and kept the dirt organized instead of making the yard look like a disaster. When they began forming the pool, I was amazed by the amount of wood, steel, and reinforcement that went into it and how securely everything was tied together. I had watched plenty of pool builds on YouTube, but watching Steve’s crew build ours right in front of us gave me a completely different appreciation for the work involved.

During the shotcrete process, the crew arrived early to beat the heat and put up protective barriers to help keep debris off the surrounding property. The workmanship looked excellent.

The paver work came out beautiful. The pavers are straight, aligned properly, and flow perfectly with the coping. They paid attention to the small details and did not cut corners.

Steve also put a lot of thought into the grading and drainage around the pool. He made sure water would move properly and that we were not creating future flooding or drainage problems. And if you ever get the chance to watch Steve work a tractor, you’ll understand pretty quickly that he knows exactly what he is doing.

One thing I appreciated most was the attention to detail. If something didn’t look right, Steve didn’t ignore it just because it might have been “good enough.” He would go back and make sure it was done the way he would want it done at his own home.

Communication with Steve, Gladys, and the entire staff was excellent. They were polite, patient, understanding, and willing to answer all of our questions throughout the process. The crews worked early, late, through heat, and even around bad weather. You could tell that finishing the pool correctly was the priority.

Servco also went above and beyond in ways that other companies we spoke with never even mentioned. There were several things they handled or helped us with that we never expected going into the project.

I highly recommend Servco Pools. Steve, Gladys, and their team are true professionals, and that level of pride in workmanship can be difficult to find today. We genuinely appreciate everything they did for our family.

If you are considering building a pool, just remember that a custom pool is a process with a lot of moving pieces. Steve understands that process inside and out, and I would absolutely trust Servco to build one again.

We had a great experience with Servco Pools and absolutely love how our pool and backyard turned out!

We had a pretty specific vision for the pool, decking, and overall backyard layout, with the goal of creating a space our family could enjoy and use for entertaining. Erik spent a lot of time with me getting all of our ideas into the design, including our sun shelf and jetted cut-out area, and Servco did a great job bringing it all to life. They also set us up with quality equipment that has been easy to use.

Gladys was wonderful with all of the paperwork and everything behind the scenes. During construction, we worked closely with Steve, the owner, whenever decisions or changes came up. Drew was there consistently throughout the build helping make sure the construction plan was carried out, and was always friendly and helpful.

As with any big construction project, there were a few things to work through along the way. A little more communication about what was coming next and how certain changes might affect the project would have made the process even smoother, but Steve was always willing to talk things through with us.

Most importantly, we love the end result! Our backyard turned out beautifully and really became the space we envisioned. We’re very happy we chose Servco and would definitely recommend Steve and his team!

We had our pool recently installed by ServCo, after speaking with a handful of pool companies. Steve and his team are easy to work with, drew up renderings after our initial consultation and delivered a beautiful pool exactly to the specifications we discussed.

From the design, to the timeline and completion, Steve was easy to contact and responsive with any questions we had. If we wanted to tweak the design it was not an issue. ServCo delivers a quality product and is very competitively priced, without any major surprises along the way, which made us feel a lot better about the process. We invested much time finding the right builder for our pool.  The last builder we met with was Steve - we instantly knew he was our guy.    This dude pays attention to every little detail as you can see from the pictures.  He really cares about putting in a pool your family is going to love.

We originally approached Steve with a pool design my wife and I put together and they executed it absolutely perfect.  We even had to improv a few things that came up along the way and Steve made it all seem like no big deal and executed it easily and beautifully.

I'll finish by saying that its now been a year since our pool was built and I'm typing this raving review.  That tells you that Steve is the MAN.

H also randomly brings fresh tuna to our house occasionally with ingredients to make his favorite recipe so thats an added bonus.

Thanks Steve, Drew, Liam and Gladys.  We loved the process and love our pool.
